The following timeline chronologically catalogues various Roman Catholic decrees. These claims are now part of the official dogma of the Roman Catholic Church. They represent teachings that are contrary to Scripture. They also reveal the sobering lack of antiquity for many of their doctrines.

Indulgences sanctioned to reduce time in Purgatory
Transubstantiation and confession of sins to priest decreed by Pope Innocent III
Purgatory elevated from doctrine to dogma (unchanging divine revelation) by the Council of Florence
